According to reports, currently only 5% of Pakistan’s exports enjoy general tariff preferences in the United States, and cotton textile products are not included, resulting in a significant decline in its competitiveness in the U.S. market, and it has to switch to the EU market that provides zero tariffs. In addition, Pakistan also stated that due to the improvement of Pakistan’s security environment and the stabilization of economic development, the travel warning to Pakistan issued by the US government has become a major non-tariff barrier to trade between the two countries and should be lifted; due to the extreme difficulty in obtaining a visa to the United States, Pakistan’s exports It is difficult for businessmen and IT engineers to obtain U.S. commercial contracts, depriving Pakistan of the opportunity to participate in fair business competition and requiring the United States to provide corresponding visa facilities.
