In August 2016, Indonesia exported 14,700 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year increase of 5.81%, and a month-on-month increase of 17.95%; Indonesia imported 57,400 tons of cotton, a year-on-year decrease of 1.26%, and a month-on-month decrease of 84.55%.
From January to August 2016, Indonesia exported a total of 109,400 tons of cotton yarn, an increase of 14% over the same period last year; it imported a total of 440,100 tons of cotton, an increase of 5.96% over the same period last year.
