-Zhejiang’s import and export data to Russia increased

According to statistics from Hangzhou Customs, the total import and export value of Zhejiang to Russia from January to May this year reached 20.12 billion yuan, an increase of 17.6% over the same period last year (the same below). Among them, exports to Russia were 15.43 billion yuan, an increase of 4%; imports from Russia were 4.69 billion yuan, an increase of 1.1 times.
Specifically, imports of energy and resource products have experienced explosive growth, and exports of clothing, electrical appliances, lamps, and agricultural products are recovering well. From January to May, Zhejiang imported 1.85 billion yuan of refined oil products from Russia, an increase of 1.2 times, accounting for 39.4% of Zhejiang’s total import value from Russia during the same period; it imported 1.08 billion yuan of crude oil, accounting for 23%.
During the same period, Zhejiang exported 1.88 billion yuan of clothing to Russia, an increase of 12.2%, and its exports of electrical and electronic products, lamps, and agricultural products increased by 14.2%, 39.5%, and 78.8% respectively. In this regard, customs statistics experts analyzed that with the steady recovery of international oil prices in the first half of the year, the Russian economy ushered in a moderate recovery, and consumer confidence rebounded from a low level, which was the main reason for the growth of Zhejiang’s imports and exports to Russia in the first five months.
