On May 11, the Ukrainian Journalist Network quoted information from the website of the state-owned enterprise “Ukrainian Industrial Foreign Trade Analysis Center” (Укрпромвнешэкспертиза) that in 2015 the EU became the main buyer of Ukrainian ready-made garments, with 90.5% of Ukrainian ready-made garments sold to the EU, with a total amount of US$525 million. 57% of the garments are exported to Germany, Hungary, Italy and Poland. The rapidly growing import demand of EU countries has made it the most promising market for Ukrainian garment manufacturers. Prospective markets are concentrated in Luxembourg, Poland, Latvia, Slovakia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands.
