In April 2016, Vietnam exported textiles and clothing to US$1.748 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.84%, and a month-on-month decrease of 6.12%; the export of yarn was 98,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 18.19%, and a month-on-month decrease of 2.43%.
In April 2016, Vietnam imported 72,900 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 7.05%, and a month-on-month decrease of 3.35%; imported cotton was 94,200 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.12%, and a month-on-month increase of 1.09%; imported fabrics were US$995 million, a year-on-year increase of 1.288% %, a month-on-month increase of 20.10%.
From January to April 2016, Vietnam exported a total of US$6.841 billion in textiles and clothing, a year-on-year increase of 4.88%; a total of 338,100 tons of yarn was exported, a year-on-year increase of 11.92%.
From January to April 2016, Vietnam imported a total of 261,300 tons of yarn, a year-on-year increase of 3.78%; a total of 355,100 tons of cotton, a year-on-year increase of 3.46%; and a total of US$3.114 billion in fabric imports, a year-on-year increase of 4.70%.
