On February 5, 2014, Health Canada and Just Brands Apparel jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made boys’ hooded sweatshirts.
The product name of this recall is a boys’ hooded sweatshirt with a drawstring at the neck and made of 100% cotton. Sold in Canada from May 2013 to January 2014.
The number of products recalled this time sold in Canada is approximately 2,236. The reason for the recall is that the drawstring at the neck of the coat may pose a choking hazard to children. As of now, Health Canada and JustBrandsApparel have not received any reports of accidents.
For this reason, Health Canada recommends that consumers remove the drawstring immediately.
