Türkiye/Textile exports to Europe

TRT News reported on the 21st that data from the Turkish Exporters Conference (TIM) showed that Turkey’s textile industry exported US$5.509 billion in the first seven months of this year, of which US$2.09 billion was exported to Europe, accounting for 38.1% of total exports. Kerrji, chairman of the TIM Textile and Raw Materials Industry Committee, said that the textile industry is one of Turkey’s important industries, and Turkey is the world’s fifth largest textile exporter. Turkey’s textile industry provides 1.2 million jobs for Turkey, accounting for 24% of Turkey’s manufacturing employment, and plays an important role in economic development.
