On-site transaction volume at Bangladesh clothing exhibition decreased by %

Recently, at the Bangladesh Textile and Apparel Expo (BATEXPO) held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, the on-site order turnover dropped by 5.0%. Exhibition organizers believe that due to multiple factors such as worker strikes, political instability and industrial accidents, the production reputation of Bangladesh’s garment industry has seriously declined recently, resulting in a significant decline in the number of buyers attending this year.
According to the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), on-site transaction orders at this year’s exhibition fell to US$58.37 million from US$61.35 million in the previous year. Among them, clothing manufacturers contributed US$57.03 million in transaction volume, and inventory transactions reached US$1.34 million.
So far, the BATEXPO exhibition has been held for 24 times. According to statistics, this year’s three-day exhibition attracted a total of 136 professional buyers from 34 countries and 2,556 buyer representatives. The exhibition is an important platform for Bangladeshi garment companies to obtain orders. one.
