Angolan Vice President Manuel Vincent chaired an economic meeting of the Cabinet’s Real Economy Committee in Luanda to discuss restarting the cotton production chain and textile industry to further promote Angola’s economic diversification.
Vincent said that Angola must complete the repair work of the Textang II fabric factory as soon as possible and resume cotton production in Luanda. Economic Minister Abrahão Gourgel revealed to the outside world that the Textang II fabric factory repair project has been completed 80%, and Kipela in central Kwanza Sul Province has started producing cotton. The Satec Fabric Factory and the African Textile Factory located in the city of DONDO in the northern province of Kwanza Norte and the province of Benguela will also be put into use one after another.
