Korean textile company KyungBang recently invested US$40 million to establish a cotton yarn factory in northern Binh Duong Province, Vietnam.
The cotton yarn mill is located in the Baubang Industrial Zone. The park has a total investment of US$140 million. The establishment of the cotton yarn mill is a key project in the first phase of the industrial zone. According to Lee Kap Soo, CEO of KyungBang Vietnam, the factory has a total of 25,920 spindles and is equipped with high-end spinning machines from Rieter and Schlafhorst. The cotton spinning mill is expected to produce 6,600 tons of yarn per year and plans to become a major yarn supplier to local textile and garment manufacturers.
