Vietnam’s textile exports increased by % year-on-year

According to Vietnam’s “Investment News”, Deng Fangrong, vice president of the Vietnam Textile Association, said that Vietnam’s textile exports exceeded US$2 billion in the first two months of 2011, a year-on-year increase of 54%. At present, markets such as the United States, the European Union, and Japan have strong demand for Vietnamese textiles, and the Vietnamese textile industry is confident in achieving the annual export target of US$13 billion.
According to reports, Vietnam’s textile exports totaled US$11.2 billion in 2010, an increase of 23%. Among them, exports to the United States were US$6 billion (an increase of 22%), exports to the EU were US$1.8 billion (an increase of 14%), and exports to Japan were US$1.2 billion (an increase of 20%). Vietnam’s textile products share in the US market has increased from 4.6% to 501%.
