According to Peruvian Business News, the Peruvian Exporters Association reported that textile exports fell by 6% from January to May. Exports to the United States increased by 10%, while exports to Venezuela, the second largest export destination, dropped significantly by 44%.
Textile exports increased by 2% and 13% in February and April respectively, while they fell by 10%, 12% and 16% in January, March and May respectively.
Exports of non-traditional products from January to May were US$2.6984 billion, and textiles were part of the exports of non-traditional products.
