According to Thailand’s “World Journal”, the Bangkok Economic Police launched an attack on May 13, sealing a factory producing counterfeit jeans, arresting one suspect, and seizing 24,409 pairs of counterfeit jeans.
The Bangkok Economic Police recently received a report that there was an illegal factory at No. 51/27-28, Lane 69, Phetchabun Road, specializing in the production of counterfeit Levi’s jeans. The police then seized 293/2553 on May 13. Arrest warrant was issued for inspection. During the inspection, the police arrested the owner of the factory, Uy Lapon (46 years old), and seized 2,640 pairs of finished and counterfeit Levi’s jeans, 21,769 pairs of semi-finished jeans, 16,983 Levi’s logos, 6 sewing machines, etc. , with a total value of 5 million baht.
The police stated that the suspect’s behavior has violated the law, and the police will immediately launch an interrogation operation. After the confession is recorded, it will be sent to the court for processing.
