Cameroon will invest 100 million CFA francs to support cotton production

According to Cameroon’s “Tribune” report, under the influence of the world financial crisis, Cameroon’s cotton production has encountered greater difficulties. In 2010, the government will invest 1 billion CFA francs to support farmers’ production. The funded project is a demonstration project for cocoa, coffee and cotton. According to the 2010 funding arrangement, the African Development Bank will provide 800 million in funds to obtain chemical fertilizers, as well as other subsidized fertilizer projects, such as reducing import tariffs on chemical fertilizers, providing 700 million CFA francs and 550 million CFA francs for farmyard manure, etc. to support cotton and cocoa. , coffee production.
