Russia will reduce import tariffs on natural fur clothing to become a fixed measure

According to reports from the Russian Customs Network, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed Government Order No. 1037 on December 18, deciding to convert the temporary import tariff reduction measures stipulated in Government Order No. 276 into a permanent one. According to the decree, the import tariff rate for natural fur clothing (Russian customs code: 4303 10 901 0-4303 10 908 0, except 4303 10 907 0) is fixed at 10%, but not less than 30 euros per piece. The import tariff rate for children’s fur clothing (products under Russian customs code: 4303 10 907 0) is fixed at 7.5%, but not less than 10 euros per piece. This government order takes effect from December 18.
Previously, Russia issued Government Order No. 518 on August 15, 2008, temporarily lowering the import tariff rate for natural fur clothing from 20% to 10%, but not less than 30 euros per piece. The import tariff rate for children’s fur clothing is set at 7.5%, but it shall not be less than 10 euros per piece. The implementation period is determined to be 9 months.
On March 31, 2009, Russia issued Government Order No. 276 again, deciding to extend the implementation period of Government Order No. 518 on August 15, 2008 “On reducing the import tariff rate of natural fur clothing” by 9 months.
