According to the Russian News Network, Putin said that the situation of Russia’s light industry has improved after the Cherkizovo market was closed.
Putin said: “After the large market was closed, small retail outlets began to focus on domestic production. The output of domestic light textile products increased by 5%, the output of trousers alone increased by 16%, and the output of suits increased by 13%.”
Putin emphasized: “This is the real consequence of banning smuggling and counterfeiting there.”
