Egypt reduces import tariffs on some goods

The President of Egypt issued a presidential decree on January 29, announcing the reduction or exemption of import tariffs on 250 commodities. These 250 commodities mainly include production equipment, raw materials and energy-saving and environmentally friendly commodities. Among them, tariffs on production equipment required by industries such as wood, printing, textiles, and chemicals have been reduced to zero, and import tariffs on some raw materials that are not available in Egypt have also been reduced to varying degrees.
