In May 2021, Vietnam exported textile and clothing to US$2.574 billion, an increase of 4.68% from the previous month, and an increase of 37.87% from the same period last year; it exported 167,100 tons of yarn, an increase of 2.04% from the previous month, and an increase of 68.11% from the same period last year. ; Cotton imports were 158,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 9.88%; yarn imports were 93,800 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 9.12%; fabric imports were US$1.506 billion, a month-on-month increase of 6.70%.
From January to May 2021, Vietnam exported textiles and clothing to US$12.231 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%; exported yarn was 814,400 tons, a year-on-year increase of 35.80%.
