Crystal International Group, a manufacturing giant headquartered in Hong Kong, has obtained EDGE green building certification for its new knitting factory Regent Garment Factory Limited in Vietnam. The plant received a “Built Environment Certificate” in recognition of its energy-saving and water-saving use of raw materials and its compliance with EDGE’s “Excellence in Design and Efficiency” standards.
EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies), established by IFC (International Finance Corporation), a member of the World Bank Group, is a green building certification system for emerging markets. EDGE is committed to building in 170 Several countries are rolling out next-generation green building certifications and include a cloud-based platform to calculate green and utility savings. Green buildings can obtain Level 1 EDGE certification when they save at least 20% of energy, water and inherent energy in building materials and meet green building standards.
