Vietnam’s “Government Daily” reported that the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam stated that since October 2014, Vietnam has simplified 63 administrative procedures, accounting for 28% of the total customs administrative procedures.
In addition, Vietnam has established a national single window mechanism at 5 ports in Haiphong, Quang Ninh, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces, and has also established docking with 9 ministerial-level units.
After the implementation of the national single window mechanism, Vietnam Customs administrative procedures have been shortened by 20-30%. It is expected that by the end of December 2015, Vietnam will complete the docking of national single window mechanisms with ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
