With the shift of the world’s economic center of gravity, the rising India, as a new power in Asia, its rapid economic development, diversification and strategic importance have attracted the world’s attention and expectations for its future. As a labor-intensive industry, the Indian textile industry will gain the advantage of being the world’s factory due to its large and efficient labor market. As Ram Singh, chairman of the Indian Textile Council, once said with confidence, Western countries “are no longer willing to put all their eggs in the market.” Put it in China’s basket, and India is their best alternative.” At present, the mature garment parks built in India have become the first choice for attracting investment from all over the world. For example, the mature garment park Brandik (BIAC) in Andhra Pradesh has succeeded due to its rich human resources, low labor costs and other advantages. It has attracted many famous companies to settle in and has become a target for overseas investment by Chinese companies.
India is the second most populous country in the world, with a large working population, abundant labor resources and low cost. Taking Brandick (BIAC) Garment Park as an example, within 100 kilometers of the park, the number of female laborers aged 18 to 40 reaches 260,000, fully ensuring the labor demand in the park. In recent years, with the rapid development of India’s economy and the acceleration of urbanization, more and more rural people have begun to move to cities and towns. In terms of the absolute number of Indian labor forces, there will be a relatively sufficient supply for a long time to come.

Indian society is status-oriented and hierarchical. Status, position and seniority are very important in organizations. Based on the social order and corporate culture under the Indian caste system, the management and training of employees in the park are relatively easy, and the worker turnover rate and absenteeism rate are low. According to the survey results of enterprises settled in Brandick (BIAC) Garment Park, the textile employees in the park are basically women. Since it is difficult for Indian women to obtain stable and formal jobs, they work very seriously and actively, and cherish their work very much. Opportunities, it will be easier for companies to manage and train them. In addition, with the development of technology in the textile industry, a considerable number of skilled textile workers in the park are able to operate more complex processes, and their work efficiency and working hours are also constantly improving.

In terms of employee efficiency, there are also differences between different textile parks in India. Usually, employees in mature parks have obvious advantages in terms of work efficiency, employee turnover rate, absenteeism rate and working hours, for example Compared with other domestic parks and some Southeast Asian countries, Brandick (BIAC) park has higher employee work efficiency and working hours, while the annual employee turnover rate and absenteeism rate are much lower.
