-China’s share of EU textile and apparel import market declines

WTA data shows that the EU import market also experienced recovery growth from January to September 2013, with textile and apparel imports from outside the EU amounting to US$98.45 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%. Among them, imports from China have always been in a downward trend, with imports amounting to US$38.12 billion, a decrease of 0.61%, and the decline further narrowed. Among the top ten import source countries, imports from Pakistan and Bangladesh have seen the most significant growth, with an increase of more than 10%.
