Pakistan’s textile and apparel exports grow

From July to September this year, Pakistan’s textile and clothing exports were US$3.576 billion, an increase of 9.99% from US$3.251 billion in the same period last year. Among them, exports to Europe have increased significantly in anticipation of receiving the EU’s Generalized System of Preferences plus treatment. During this period, Pakistan’s exports of goods totaled US$6.712 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.23%. The recent depreciation of the rupee has led to a reduction in the cost of Pakistani products in the international market, boosting export growth to a certain extent.
