Vietnam’s textile and apparel export value increased by .% year-on-year

In April 2013, Vietnam’s cotton fabric output was 26.5 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 54.97%, and a month-on-month increase of 11.81%; polyester and man-made fiber fabric output was 57.9 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 3.02%, a month-on-month decrease of 7.21%; Adult Clothing output was 218 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 40.85% and a month-on-month increase of 2.93%. The estimated output of cotton fabrics in May is 28.8 million square meters, that of polyester and man-made fiber fabrics is 60.6 million square meters, and that of adult clothing is 230 million pieces. In April 2013, Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports amounted to US$1.244 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20.66% and a month-on-month decrease of 4.6%. It is expected that the value of textile and clothing exports in May will still be 1.4 billion US dollars.
As of April 2013 (2013.1-2013.4), Vietnam’s total cotton fabric production was 91.7 million square meters, a year-on-year increase of 11.42%; the total polyester and man-made fiber fabric production was 240 million square meters, a year-on-year decrease of 19.47%; the adult clothing production was 807 million pieces , a year-on-year increase of 34.51%; Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports amounted to US$5.047 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.07%.
