Bangladeshi garment exports to US are good

Despite the spread of the financial crisis, Bangladesh’s garment exports to the United States have continued to grow. The chairman of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association said that Bangladesh’s garment exports have not been greatly affected by the international economic recession. The export volume of pants and sweaters, the two most important products exported to the United States, in October and November exceeded the same period in 2007. According to statistics, Bangladesh’s garment exports to the United States increased by 28.72% from July to September 2008.
