In August 2018, Thailand exported 1,600 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year decrease of 16.7%. From January to August 2018, Thailand exported a total of 14,080 tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year increase of 3.49%; the average unit price of exported cotton yarn was US$3.20/kg, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%.
Among export regions, 98.1% of cotton yarn is exported to Asia, accounting for the vast majority of Thailand’s cotton yarn exports, followed by a small number exported to Europe. (Title: Thailand exported 1,600 tons of cotton yarn in August)
