U.S. apparel and apparel sales tend to rebound

The latest retail sales data released by the U.S. Bureau of Statistics in 2016 shows that the overall retail sales in the United States in April 2016 were US$453.4 billion, a month-on-month increase of 1.3% and a year-on-year increase of 3%.
In April, sales of U.S. clothing and apparel specialty stores were US$21.4 billion, a month-on-month increase of 1% and a year-on-year increase of 1.3%. General store sales were US$55.95 billion, which was the same as last month and increased by 0.5% year-on-year.
