“Protocol on Banking Services to the Free Trade Zone Services Trade Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan” (hereinafter referred to as the “Protocol”), after completing the respective internal approval procedures of China and Pakistan, on November 11, 2015 Officially effective.
The “Protocol” was signed during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Pakistan on April 20, 2015, and was represented by Chinese Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng and Pakistani Minister of Commerce Hram Dastgir Khan. co-signed by the governments of the two countries in Islamabad.
The entry into force of the “Protocol” will further improve the liberalization level of service trade in the China-Pakistan Free Trade Zone, provide more financing facilities for enterprises in both countries, and provide guarantee for the smooth implementation of major projects such as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
