Among them, silk exports were US$411 million, a year-on-year decrease of 12.69%; silk satin exports were US$553 million, a year-on-year decrease of 18.9%; silk manufactured exports were US$1.096 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 6.12%.
The top five export markets are: the United States ($347 million, a year-on-year decrease of 16.04%), India ($191 million, a year-on-year decrease of 13.51%), Italy ($178 million, a year-on-year decrease of 18.93%), and Pakistan (1.40 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 14.87%), Japan ($136 million, a year-on-year decrease of 24.27%).
The top five provinces and cities in terms of export volume are: Zhejiang (US$774 million, a year-on-year decrease of 16.41%), Guangdong (US$398 million, a year-on-year increase of 62.64%), Jiangsu (US$250 million, a year-on-year decrease of 16.48%), Shanghai ( 160 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 16.12%) and Sichuan (109 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 25.96%). Their combined exports accounted for 82.11% of my country’s total silk merchandise exports.
In September, my country’s silk product exports amounted to US$225 million, a year-on-year decrease of 8.73%. Among them, silk exports were US$39.6419 million, a year-on-year decrease of 25.45%; silk satin exports were US$59.8581 million, a year-on-year decrease of 15.65%; silk manufactured exports were US$126 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.57%.
