In June 2015, my country imported 181,000 tons of pure cotton yarn, a year-on-year increase of 38.06%. From January to June, the cumulative import volume was 1.118 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%. According to statistics from import sources, the top five countries with cumulative volume share are India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Indonesia, accounting for 30.9%, 26.2%, 19.5%, 5.2% and 5.0% respectively. The cumulative volume growth rates of the top three import sources were 21.5%, 22.8% and 43.0% respectively, and the year-on-year volume growth rates in June were 47.1%, 20.9% and 53.9% respectively.

The year-on-year growth rates in June were 37.2%, 29.4% and 119.1% respectively.

The above data shows that my country’s imports of pure cotton yarn showed a rapid growth trend in the first half of the year. In terms of scale, India is still ahead of other import sources. In terms of growth rate, Vietnam is more eye-catching. The import growth rate in June was even higher. It is India and Vietnam that are advancing hand in hand, no matter how close they are. In terms of varieties, my country’s imported pure cotton yarns are mainly concentrated in low-end products. However, in terms of growth rate, both the cumulative growth rate and the monthly growth rate are dominated by combed single yarn 52-80. It seems that the domestic market has a strong demand for such products. The demand is more imaginative.

From January to June 2015, my country exported 3.040 million tons of pure cotton fabrics, a year-on-year decrease of 8.4%, imported 236,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 15.7%, and net exported 2.804 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.7%. The export scale of my country’s pure cotton fabrics is significantly larger than that of blended cotton fabrics. However, judging from the cumulative quantity growth rate and the monthly quantity growth rate, the exports of blended cotton fabrics show an increasing trend, while the exports of pure cotton fabrics show a shrinking trend.
