2. Eastern provinces and cities are relatively stable, but Guangdong is growing against the trend
Among the top four exporting provinces and cities, with the exception of Shandong, where exports fell by 4.5%, exports from Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai all maintained slight growth, with an increase between 0.5% and 0.8%. Guangdong ranked fifth, with exports growing against the trend, with an increase of 23.9%. The main trade methods driving export growth were general trade and “tourism and shopping trade”, which increased by 20.5% and 894.1% respectively.
