According to data from the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, from January to October, my country’s total exports of silk products were US$2.554 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 13.26%. Among them, exports of silk, silk satin, and silk manufactured products all showed a downward trend.
In October, my country’s silk product exports were US$232 million, a year-on-year decrease of 10.07%. Among them, silk exports were US$48.2666 million, a year-on-year decrease of 4.34%; silk satin exports were US$68.9847 million, a year-on-year decrease of 2.28%; silk manufactured exports were US$115 million, a year-on-year decrease of 16.2%.
From January to October, the top five provinces and cities in my country’s silk commodity export volume were: Zhejiang (US$1.022 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.85%), Jiangsu (US$327 million, a year-on-year decrease of 16.51%), and Guangdong (2.70 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 4.66%), Shanghai (208 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 6.6%), and Sichuan (158 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 11.57%). The total exports accounted for 77.76% of my country’s total silk merchandise exports.
