According to customs statistics, my country’s cotton cloth imports in September 2014 were 53.044 million meters, a month-on-month increase of 11.37%, an increase of 24.6 percentage points from the previous month; a year-on-year decrease of 19.7%, a decrease of 14.7 percentage points from the previous month. The export volume of cotton fabrics was 723.589 million meters, a month-on-month decrease of 3.7%, and the decrease was 14.7 percentage points larger than the previous month; it was a year-on-year decrease of 3.83%, and the decrease was 4.59 percentage points larger than the previous month.
In the first nine months of 2014, my country imported a total of 495.3548 million meters of cotton cloth, a year-on-year decrease of 17.86%; the country exported a total of 6.154028 million meters of cotton cloth, a year-on-year decrease of 10.54%.
