On September 30, 2014, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Chantique’s Company jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s jackets.
The name of the recalled product is a children’s jacket. The product material is 100% cotton, the color is gray, and there is a red drawstring on the neck. The product code of the jacket is PB1613.B12. It was sold in stores such as ElephantEars, Pumpkinheads, and Sprouts in the United States from January 2014 to August 2014, and the price is approximately US$62.
About 60 of the recalled products were sold in the United States. The reason for the recall is that the drawstrings on the coats may pose a choking hazard to children. So far, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Chantique’s have not received any accident reports.
For this reason, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends that children keep away from this product, remove the drawstring, and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
