Tunisia’s textile imports and exports have rebounded

According to the Tunisian Textile Technology Center, the total import and export volume of Tunisia’s textile and garment industry in the first three quarters of 2014 was 5.58 billion tud, or approximately US$3.19 billion, of which exports were 3.27 billion tud, or approximately US$1.87 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2.25%. ; Imports amounted to NT$2.31 billion, equivalent to approximately US$1.32 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%. Exports are mainly garments, and the main markets are the United Kingdom, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and France; imports are mainly cloth and textile raw materials, and the main suppliers are from Italy, France, Turkey, China, Germany, and Belgium.
