Pakistan’s textile exports rebound as demand from China increases

Due to the recent increase in demand for cotton yarn in China, Pakistan’s textile exports have rebounded. In the past year, affected by declining international demand, insufficient energy supply, rising electricity bills, and changes in the value of the rupee, Pakistan’s textile industry has performed sluggishly, leading to a decline in cotton sowing rates. It is expected that Pakistan’s cotton planting area will be low next year.
