Vietnam’s textile and apparel industry imports and exports maintain rapid growth in the first half

The Voice of Vietnam website reported on July 6 that in the first half of this year, Vietnam’s textile and garment industry imported raw materials worth US$7.7 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%. Among them, the import value of fabrics was US$4.63 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.5%; the import value of auxiliary materials was US$1.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of 30.5%; the fiber import value was US$750 million, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%. In the first half of the year, Vietnam’s textile and apparel industry exports amounted to US$10.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18.4%. It is worth noting that Vietnam’s textile fiber exports reached US$5.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23.3%.
