From January to April, Jiangsu Province’s foreign trade import and export reached US$176.27 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%. Among them, exports were US$102.66 billion, an increase of 2.7%; imports were US$73.61 billion, an increase of 10.2%.
In the first four months, Jiangsu Province’s imports and exports to the EU increased by 7.3%; to the United States and Japan an increase of 0.4% and a decrease of 0.9% respectively; to South Korea and ASEAN an increase of 5.7% and 4.1% respectively; to my country’s Hong Kong and the Middle East, an increase of 0.4% and 0.9% respectively; 13.2% and 20.9%. In terms of products, exports of seven categories of traditional labor-intensive products, including clothing, textile yarns, fabrics and products, footwear, plastic products, bags, toys, and furniture, remained stable.
