On April 8, the General Administration of Customs announced the foreign trade import and export situation from January to April this year. According to customs statistics, in the first four months, my country’s total import and export value was 8.1 trillion yuan, a decrease of 3.1% compared with the same period last year (the same below). Among them, exports were 4.16 trillion yuan, down 4.8%; imports were 3.94 trillion yuan, down 1.2%; the trade surplus was 215.4 billion yuan, down 42.9%.
Customs statistics show that in April, my country’s total import and export value was 2.2 trillion yuan, a decrease of 1.3%, 2.4 percentage points narrower than the decline in the first quarter. Among them, exports were 1.16 trillion yuan, down 1.4%, 4.7 percentage points narrower than the decline in the first quarter; imports were 1.04 trillion yuan, down 1.3%; the trade surplus was 112.2 billion yuan, down 2.3%.
In terms of US dollars, in the first four months, my country’s total import and export value was US$1.32432 billion, a decrease of 0.5%. Among them, exports were US$679.78 billion, a decrease of 2.3%; imports were US$644.54 billion, an increase of 1.4%; the trade surplus was US$35.24 billion, a decrease of 41.4%.
In April, my country’s total import and export value was US$358.63 billion, an increase of 0.8%. Among them, exports were US$188.54 billion, an increase of 0.9%; imports were US$170.09 billion, an increase of 0.8%; the trade surplus was US$18.45 billion, an increase of 1.8%.
