According to the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in South Korea, South Korea’s Ministry of Planning and Finance received applications from two domestic companies, requesting that anti-dumping duties continue to be levied on Chinese polyester pre-oriented yarn. The customs code of the product involved is 540246. According to customs data, in 2013, my country’s export volume of products involved in the case to South Korea was approximately US$448,000.
The original trial of this case was filed on February 4, 2008, and the amount involved was US$4.42 million. At that time, no company responded to the lawsuit. As a result of the final ruling, except for one company that received zero tax rate, the exports of other Chinese companies are subject to an anti-dumping tax of 6.26%. On July 21, 2011, South Korea made the final ruling on the anti-dumping sunset review and continued to impose anti-dumping duties for a period of 2 years.
