U.S. imports of Chinese textiles and apparel increased by .% year-on-year

In August 2013, the total value of textile and apparel imports into the United States was US$10.3 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.07% and a month-on-month decrease of 1.87%. Among them, textile and clothing imports from China were US$4.546 billion, a year-on-year increase of 5.97%, a month-on-month increase of 2.49%, accounting for 44.12% of the total import share of the United States; textile and clothing imports from Vietnam were US$811 million, a year-on-year increase of 12.13%, a month-on-month decrease of 9.33%, accounting for the total share 7.87%; textile and clothing imports from India were US$551 million, a year-on-year increase of 12.4% and a month-on-month increase of 8.05%, accounting for 5.35% of the total share.
As of August 2013 (2013.1-2013.8), the total value of textile and apparel imports into the United States was US$69.319 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.39%. Among them, the value of textile and clothing imports from China was US$26.892 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%; the textile and clothing imports from Vietnam were US$5.766 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.29%; the textile and clothing imports from India were US$4.268 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.51%; the textile imports from Indonesia were US$4.268 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.51%. The value of clothing imported from Bangladesh was US$3.721 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.47%; the value of textile and clothing imports from Bangladesh was US$3.605 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10.04%; the value of textile and clothing imports from Mexico was US$3.126 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.72%; the value of textile and clothing imports from Pakistan was US$2.062 billion.
