On August 12, 2010, Health Canada and Roots Canada Ltd. jointly announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s pajama sets.

The recalled children’s pajamas were sold at the “Roots 73” agency store in Canada from May to July 2010.
The number of products recalled this time is approximately 1,195 sets. The reason for the recall is that Health Canada’s sampling test results showed that the children’s pajamas did not meet the Canadian standards for flame retardancy of children’s pajamas. To date, neither Health Canada nor Roots Canada Ltd. have received any reports of incidents.
For this reason, Health Canada recommends that consumers immediately keep the recalled pajamas away from children and contact any “Roots 73” agency store for a return and full refund.
