-Tajikistan exports 10,000 tons of lint cotton

According to “Asia Express”, Tajikistan exported a total of 50,000 tons of lint cotton from January to July 2010, with a total value of US$70 million.
According to statistics from the Presidential Statistics Office of Tajikistan, the export of lint cotton from January to July 2010 increased by 11,000 tons year-on-year, the average price increased by US$430 year-on-year, reaching US$1,460/ton, and the total value increased by US$30 million. Tajikistan’s main exporter of asbestos is Russia, accounting for 30% of total exports.
