Recently, at the request of the South African Textile Federation (Thetextile Federation), the South African International Trade Management Commission initiated an anti-dumping sunset review investigation into chemical fiber carpets originating in China and Turkey. In this case, because the investigation agency found that canceling the anti-dumping measures on the products involved in the case imported from Turkey with the customs code of 6301.90 will not continue to cause damage to South Africa’s domestic industry, it decided to cancel the anti-dumping measures on the products involved in the case imported from Turkey with the customs code of 6301.90. Anti-dumping measures, and only the anti-dumping sunset review investigation will be conducted on the products involved with the customs code 6301.40 imported from Turkey. The customs codes of the products involved in the investigation in China are 6304.10 and 6301.90.
In April 1998, South Africa launched an anti-dumping investigation into chemical fiber carpets originating in China and Turkey; in June 1999, South Africa made an affirmative final ruling on the case.
