On May 10, 2010, Health Canada and Deux par Deux Minimome Company jointly announced a voluntary recall of children’s snowsuits or jackets made in China.
The recalled children’s wind and snow jackets or jackets are in sizes 2-12 and come in various colors. The brand “Deux par Deux” and style number are marked on the label at the collar. This children’s snow jacket or jacket was sold in Canada from 2005-2010.
The number of products recalled this time is unknown. The reason for the recall is that the straps on the children’s snowsuits or coats and hoods pose a stranglehold hazard to children. So far, neither Health Canada nor Deux par Deux Minimome has received any reports of incidents.
For this reason, Health Canada recommends that consumers immediately pull out the drawstrings in their parkas or jackets to eliminate the hazard, or contact Deux par Deux Minimome for remedial information.
