On May 4, 2010, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and JD Fine & Company jointly announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made children’s sweatshirts.

The children’s hoodies recalled this time are “Sweet Tart” brand, velvet fabric, there are three styles, namely G80072873C, navy blue, rhinestone star pattern; G80072874M, pink, rhinestone victory pattern; G80072875F, gray. Rhinestone heart pattern. Specifications are ×S, S, M and L. “Sweet Tart” is marked on the collar tag.

The number of products recalled this time is about 1,700. The reason for the recall is that the straps on the hood of the sweatshirts pose a strangulation hazard to children. As of now, JD Fine & Company has not received any accident reports.

For this reason, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers immediately pull out the drawstring in the hat to eliminate the danger, or contact the retail store for a return and full refund.
