On March 5, 2010, the European Commission issued an announcement stating that since domestic enterprises had not filed an anti-dumping sunset review application for anti-dumping measures against polyester short fibers originating in South Korea, it decided to officially start from March 18, 2010. The anti-dumping measures were cancelled, and the mid-term review investigations launched in June and November 2009 respectively were cancelled. The customs code of the product involved is 55032000.
In October 1999, the EU launched an anti-dumping investigation into polyester short fiber originating in South Korea; in December 2000, the EU made a positive final ruling on the case.
