EU launches anti-dumping investigation into Chinese chopped glass fiber

On December 17, 2009, at the request of The European Glass Fiber Producers Association, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation into chopped glass fibers originating in China. The customs codes of the products involved are 70191100, 70191200, 70191910, and ex70193100.
The products involved are chopped glass fibers with a length not exceeding 50 mm, glass fiber rovings, slivers and glass fiber filament yarns, and mats made of glass fiber filaments (but excluding glass wool).
The dumping investigation period in this case is from October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009. The European Commission has initially selected Turkey as a surrogate country for calculating the normal value of Chinese products involved.
