EU diplomats said on Wednesday that the European Commission will launch an anti-dumping investigation into Chinese fiberglass manufacturers.
The European Glass Fiber Producers Association, which represents glass fiber manufacturers such as PPG Industries Inc. and Lanxess AG, filed a complaint with the European Commission in November this year. According to a European Commission document seen by Dow Jones Newswires, if the European Commission ultimately supports the complaint, Chinese manufacturers may face anti-dumping duties of up to 40%-75%. The European Commission is the executive body of the European Union.
