On December 8, 2009, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to make preliminary anti-subsidy rulings on narrow webbing with selvedges originating in China (see table below).

On July 30, 2009, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement on the filing of the case. In response to the application of the U.S. Berwick Offray Company and its wholly-owned subsidiary Lion Ribbon Co., Ltd., it decided to conduct inspections on narrow webbing with selvedges originating in mainland China. Anti-dumping and countervailing investigations, anti-dumping investigations were conducted on narrow webbing with selvage edges originating in Taiwan. The products involved in the case had customs codes of 58063210.20, 58063210.30, 58063210.50, and 58063210.60.
